How we helped

Accounts are a necessity and being compliant is important to any business, but this can be time consuming, especially for a start-up. At MPA our team of accounting specialists are dedicated to providing a personal and expert service.  After being introduced to MPA in August 2018, SWAP was assigned a personal account manager, Bradley Tompkins. Bradley has been a constant point of contact for Jeroen and Dan from day one. As part of our tailored service, Bradley has taken time to get to understand the business to ensure that its specific needs are met. Our method of working has meant that Jeroen and Dan have been able to maintain focus on growing SWAP with minimum disruption caused by day to day accounting requirements.

Bradley’s focus is keeping things simple, with the main task of preparing and submitting SWAP’s accounts to Companies House and completing VAT returns, he is always on hand to discuss and support other needs as they arise. With a forward-thinking approach to accounting, we have also digitalised SWAP’s accounts through Xero, ensuring they are prepared for Making Tax Digital ahead of time.

Most good accountants offer the essentials in terms of services. However, at MPA Group we can offer more than this, with a service offering built around the needs of our clients. We have a team of tax specialists’ who are experts in schemes such as EIS, R&D tax credits and Patent Box relief. Aware of our diverse service offering, and keen to see how SWAP could benefit, Jeroen was introduced to Senior Tax Specialist Lisa Baum. They were able to discuss tax saving services specifically applicable to SWAP and the business’s future plans, such as EIS support and R&D tax credits. As SWAP continues to grow these additional services can be added to their package. This flexible approach means we are always able to put our client’s needs first.
